The VEX ARM Cortex-based Microcontroller coordinates the flow of all information and power on the robot. It has built in bi-directional communication for wireless driving, debugging and downloading using the VEXnet wireless link. VEX EDR 393 motors are the primary motors used for robot mechanisms. VEX IQ elements have the option to come in a different color. These colors allow you to customize the look of your robot, and add your own personal style. The VEX Motor Controller 29 uses a standard PWM signal (like that originating from the 3-wire ports on VEX Microcontrollers) to drive a VEX 2-Wire Motor. Lighten the total weight of a robot or mechanism while still keeping it strong. VEX aluminum kits contain the same metal components as standard kits! A standoff is used in mechanics and electronics to separate two parts from one another while creating a rigid connection. All VEX Standoffs have 8-32 threads
